Please Remember Rachel Corrie on March 16

March 7, 2010

Rachel Corrie was killed in the Gaza Strip in Palestine on March 16, 2003, trying to prevent the demolition of the home of a Palestinian family (a pharmacist, accountant, their wives, and five young children). The Rachel Corrie Foundation for Peace and Justice was established by members of Rachel’s family and community to continue the kind of work that she began and hoped to accomplish.

As you know, I just posted a video of my song “The Occupation” dedicated to Rachel.  It’s my small way of keeping her going and bringing light to the dark. I hope my little video and song can add to the honors Rachel truly deserves and we can keep her memory and spirit alive through art and political expression; especially for all of our children to come.

So please do what you can to keep her spirit going…..join her foundation, give money, support……

We need a statue of her in Washington DC next to the greats of justice, liberty, and freedom so that all future kids can learn of this true modern hero! If anyone knows how to get this done, let’s do it.

If you feel compelled, please pass it around and post on you social networks

With Great Honor, Respect and Love
