Packers are the superior team but again, over 14 spreads in NFL are dangerous.  Last week, Lions had 2 very serious chances in red zone to kill the spread and Viking bettors lucked out on those.  Many times, a last minute errant TD kills the spread because winning team’s goal is to win and so they let down to close the game out. Lions are fighters and see themselves better than their record.  This one follows the pattern that 14.5 is too much against a dog that fights.

• Ravens vs. Steelers in an orgy of defense.  Ravens win this one as Batch falters into old age.  Ravens by 2
• Eagles vs. Redskins. Torch gets passed from McNubb to Vick as Redskins lack of talent show up giving McNubb a tough return to Philly.  Vick will come out respectful to Donavon.  But with the worst D in the league, Vick will eventually exploit it while McNubb tries to win it on his own.  But his team is just not good enough.  Eagles win by 7 and start road towards a run at the division title.
